Make visual checks part of routine care
Look at reachable cable lines, end points, tracks and the surfaces around the anchors. Watch for loose parts, damaged coating, rust staining or unusual movement. Use the supplier's recommended inspection interval for the product you actually have.
Keep it clean without loading the cables
Remove ordinary dust using the specified cleaning method. Do not hang objects from the grill, lean on it or use it as a handhold. Coastal exposure can make it particularly important to follow the supplier's cleaning guidance.
Know when to call for help
If a cable loosens or a fitting moves, avoid depending on that section for safety. Send photos of the whole opening and a close-up of the issue to arrange an assessment. Retensioning or replacement should be based on the system and the condition of its anchors.
